Being bipedal animals, our lower legs are naturally extremely sensitive. The two most common areas and sources of pain are the heel and calve muscle. Many unknowingly cause this pain to themselves via the shoes they wear—either for casual use, walking, or running.

There are two variables at play when we are talking about running mechanics and gear. 1) Your natural foot strike while running, & 2) The heel-to-toe drop of your shoes.

Can your foot strike be changed? Will switching heel-to-toe drops make a difference? When to use different drops for different paces.
