“Norwegian Training Method” has a nice ring to it. It brings a sense of trust and quality, as if the country itself validates the method before you even understand what it is.
It’s not unlike marketing a product that has “German Engineering” or “Japanese Precision”. Somehow, it’s able to turn something ordinary into the cutting edge.
It also helps that the poster-child for this training is the 23 year old 3:43 miler Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
And I don’t mean to provide you an early judgment as to how I feel about the Norwegian method—there are some great aspects YOU can add into your training today. While there are a few you need to stay away from in order to remain injury free.
