Entering into the world of fitness, especially via X, is like drinking from a fire house that is spewing out massive amounts of kool aid.

It’s hard to tell what kool aid is going to help raise your fitness, and which is going to make you end up like the cultists…

With running specifically, there are three main metrics your running watch will most likely give you regardless of the brand.

  1. Resting Heart Rate

  2. VO2 Max

  3. HRV

These three are usually “front and center” when you open up your watch/app. But, there are a few more numbers we can find ourselves to help give more context to the numbers our watches give us.

In this article we will be diving into a few other metrics to help add context to your training.
