Recovery is a mythical term that is either 1) Forgotten until you need it or 2) Thrown around with many different definitions.
So I am setting out to define what recovery is, in the context of running—for performance, health, and general training.
Recovery can be whatever you want it to be, depending on your current fitness level and training ability, the amount of inputs into recovery can become staggering. Tracking metrics, using hardware/tools, defining active recovery, understanding different types of strain, sleeping, and approaching recovery from a holistic view.
With much more in between!
